Wei Fang, Ph.D; Co-founder and President
Dr. Fang obtained his B.Sci in chemistry from the University of Iowa and his Ph.D from Vanderbilt University. During a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center, he co-invented the TheraKan device and co-founded Fennik Life Sciences. He has over 20 years of research experience in cell biology and biochemistry, publishing in peer reviewed journals such as Journal of Biological Chemistry and Oncogene.
Nikki Cheng, Ph.D; Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Cheng obtained her B.Sci in biochemistry from Beloit College and her Ph.D from Vanderbilt University. An associate professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, she directs a research program that seeks to understand how inflammation regulates breast cancer progression. While at KUMC, she co-invented the TheraKan device and co-founded Fennik Life Sciences. She has over 22 years of research experience in cancer biology and the tumor microenvironment.
Lillian Cheng, JD, PMP; Chief Operating Officer
Lillian's broad and diversified legal background and management experience in the federal government has turned her into a valuable and respected member in the industry. She has led and developed several high profile government projects to completion. She is senior executive service and PMP certified with extensive leadership experience when she served as President of the local and state chapter of the Virginia Jaycees. Lillian Cheng graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College and has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Linda Cheng, MBA; Chief Marketing Officer
Linda’s extensive role and experience in the business community includes consulting with various local independent enterprises from a variety of industries including education, music and science. She has also helped to develop and propel new products into the market with a low cost and effective marketing strategy plan. Linda Cheng holds an MBA from California State University Northridge.
James “Cliff” Hooper, MM; Chief Contracts Officer
James’ 10 years experience in the technology community where his specialties in efficiency management, quality control and software development has improved prominent corporations in their testing processes and building self sufficient teams. James Hooper holds a Project Management certificate from University of California, Los Angeles and is a certified ScrumMaster.
